Making Time for the Artistic Flow

Fall Flowers Original Hand Embroidered Art | And Other Adventures Embroidery Co

I've been thinking a lot about what it means to be an artist these days. What I thought it would be when I was just starting out and what it is actually are two very different things. The reality is that it is a constant balance between following the pull of an artistic flow and then also putting in the energy and focus into the actual business of it. I come from a business/analytical background and I LOVE running a business. So that part comes natural to me. But I often have to remind myself to pull back to the artistic spirit that started this all to begin with.

That is why I LOVE creating these seasonal collections of original hoop art. They allow me to stay curious as an artist. I get to try out different color combinations and experiment with new stitching techniques... all without an agenda. It keeps things fun and fresh.

Anyways, all of this to say - I hope you love the Fall Collection (launches next week!) as much as I have enjoyed creating it. It has renewed my creative energy and joy in the process. So if any of it brings you a spark of happiness; well, that is just icing on the cake.
