I often get asked what I use to transfer my patterns and these pens are my go-to tool.  These Frixion erasable pens from Pilot erase with friction (from the eraser on the tip) or heat.  I prefer to blast my finished embroidery with a hair dryer and watch the pen lines disappear.

NOTE: People tend to have a love-hate relationship with these pens.  While heat will make the pen lines disappear, cold temperatures can sometimes make the pen lines reappear. Because of this, I try to cover the pen lines with stitches whenever possible. Reappearing pens lines rarely happens to me, but it is something I want you to be aware of before purchasing.
