Obviously hand embroidery is one of my love languages. And if you have someone in your life who is like me and is obsessed with this timeless craft, I've got you covered with this gift guide. This is a collection of a few of my favorite things that I already use plus a few items that are on my wish list.
Embroidery Stitch Guide Book:This is my favorite book to recommend to those that are just starting out in hand embroidery. It shows a step by step guide to more than 200 stitches. I love that it teaches both the basics as well as more advanced techniques.
Heat Erasable Pens:I use these pens every day to transfer my patterns on to fabric. And then once I am done embroidering my project, I use a hair dryer to remove any places where the ink is not covered by my stitching. Game Changer!
My beloved clothespins: I have many a times sung the praises on storing my embroidery floss on clothespins. So if you are at the point where your floss stash is starting to look disshelved and unorganized, I highly recommend the clothespin method of storing.
Good scissors: A good pair of scissors is right up there with a good needle, as an invaluable tool to have for any embroidery project.
This Lamp: This is another item going on my Christmas wish list. My eyes are getting older and I am starting to feel it at the end of the day. And with my embroidery being so detailed and small, my eyes need all the help that they can get.
This Lightbox: I have been looking to upgrade my lightbox that I use almost every day to trace and create my embroidery patterns. I have my eye on this one and have put it on my holiday wish list. I'll keep you posted on what I think of it once I get it.
Full Embroidery Kits:And last, but least, if you have a brand new embroidery enthusiast in your life, I can not recommend enough getting them started with a FULL embroidery kit. No worrying about getting the right needle or hoop or enough floss. They have everything that they need to hit the ground running with hand embroidery.
