Looking back on 2018, one of the accomplishments that I am most of proud of is my creation of The Bloom Collection. So much heart and soul went into each of these bouquets. And y'all have blown me away with all your support of purchasing my patterns and showing off your own stitched versions in the #AOAembroideryclub.
But my favorite part of any of it is the part that I least expected - hearing all the stories behind your reason why you chose to purchase a bouquet pattern/kit from me:
- To give as teacher's gifts to those that have made your child's life that much better during a really tough transition
- Choosing that particular pattern because it reminds you of your mother's favorite flowers
- A kit sent to your homesick daughter so she know how loved she is... even from far away.
- To surprise your best friend who just got married this past summer with a embroidered bouquet in the same likeness as her bouquet
- To just have something pretty to hang on your cubicle wall while you are working the long hours chasing your own career dreams
- A bouquet pattern that inspired you to get back into stitching because that is what you used to do with your grandmother before she passed
- To keep your hands and mind busy while you are on bed rest anxiously waiting to meet your newborn girl
Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would be as blown away by your WHY's than I have been this year. I can not put into words how happy it makes me to read these stories and to be even a tiny part of them. Seriously, it gives me life!
