Listening to:  The Book of Lost Friends by Lisa Wingate and Vince Guaraldi’s A Charlie Brown Christmas

Watching:  Just finished Ted Lasso (so good & hilarious) and now watching The Queen’s Gambit (also amazing). I highly recommend both.

Reading:  Just started Verity by Colleen Hoover.

What I’m working on:  Shipping holiday orders + brainstorming 2021 ideas, plans and goals + finishing up the new office space we started at the end of summer (flooring + cabinets are in, just waiting on a countertop).

Excited about:  My new office setup + the vaccine and the hope that my kids might be able to go back to in-person school in 2021

Dreading:  The holiday season and the impact it could have on case counts.

Laughing About:  My oldest kiddo usually wakes up with an alarm clock and a few weeks back her clock was inadvertently reset and was showing the wrong time (though she did not know this yet).  So when it went off, she proceeded to get up, get dressed, wake her sister up and make both of them a bowl of cereal. They were completely ready for school.... at 3AM!!!  Needless to say, we were all a little off that day and needing all the coffee.  2020 strikes again.

Appreciating:  All the fall colors.  Texas gets about 2 weeks of a pretty fall.  So I am soaking up these gorgeous colors as much as I can before our next gust storm comes and knocks them all off.

Loving:  Our Solo Stove.  Now that the weather is finally cooler, we have been firing it up in the evenings and it is so nice.  It makes our patio feel more like a second living room – which is especially appreciated during this pandemic time when we are spending more time than ever in our regular living room. And I love that the design of it really cuts down on the smoke that always seems to find its way right to my face. On a handful of occasions, I have been able to meet friends outside in the evenings sitting socially distanced and cozy around the fire.  That time with them feels like the ultimate luxury these days.

What I’m looking forward to:  Next year when COVID is under control and I can hug my friends and family without restraint and travel again!  It’s going to be SO GOOD!
