This past month, I decided to try my hand at creating some hand embroidered necklaces. While this is definitely not a new concept, it was new to me and I was excited about this project for a few reasons.
One, my wedding bouquets are by far my biggest seller. But with that said, I also recognize they represent one big moment in life. And life is made up of a lot of little moments. I was really wanting to create something embroidered that was more for the everyday. I like this idea of having something beautiful and romantic to make an ordinary day a little more special.
Secondly, I LOVE playing with color palettes. And while I get to do that everyday with bigger projects, I love that these necklaces are a smaller way to test out different color combinations and see what works (and what clearly does not work).
And finally, I have really been wanting something that I could easily take to markets. These necklaces are just the item. They are fun, whimsical, and because they are at a lower price point, you can afford to get more than one.
I am so happy with how they turned out. They have re-energized my creativity and I can not wait to make more.
